How an AI-driven content workflow helped a sales compensation SaaS platform compete with established players

I built and ran an AI-driven content workflow for a B2B sales compensation platform, turning the client's target keywords into awareness and consideration content that positioned the brand as the go-to expert on sales compensation. In under a year, keywords ranking in Google's top 3 grew from 155 to 436, daily organic traffic more than doubled from 225 to around 550 sessions, and the site's Domain Rating rose from 41 to 51.

What was the challenge?

The platform operates in sales compensation and commission management, a competitive category where established players dominated organic search. The product was differentiated, but the brand wasn't yet seen as an authority in its space, and the site didn't have the depth of expert content to earn that position in search. The client had already identified the keywords they wanted to own. What they needed was a way to produce credible, expert-level content for all of them, consistently.

What did the content work involve?

The client's team handled keyword research, link building, featured snippet optimisation and internal linking. My role was the content and the workflow behind it.

What were the results?

Can AI-assisted content rank in a competitive SaaS category?

Yes, when AI is part of a deliberate workflow rather than a shortcut. Here it made it possible to cover a full keyword list with expert-level content at a steady pace, and that content, supported by the client's link building, moved hundreds of keywords into Google's top 3 and built the brand's authority in its category.

The client's name is withheld for confidentiality. Figures cover an engagement of under a year.
